Chloe cooks up her own pet goo and so can you!

Not only does Chloe cook up delicious food recipes but she also cooks up fun craft recipes too! Here is her recipe for pet goo. It is very easy to make and so much fun to play with as you will see below.

Slime, gak, goo, craft, kid crafts

Pet Goo

Ingredients: 4 oz bottle Elmer's school glue, 1 tbsp. and 3 to 4 tsp. Borax (found in the laundry aisle), food coloring and 1 cup water (split in half and in two containers). Chloe is ready to go!

Put 1/2 cup water in a medium bowl and squeeze in the whole bottle of glue.
Mix together until combined.
Add food coloring to make your favorite color.
Mix well. Chloe liked this step, she thought the swirl of colors looked cool.
TA-DA! Chloe pet goo is the color purple!

Add 1 tbsp of the Borax to the warm water in the measuring cup, mix well until it dissolves, then an additional 1/2 teaspoon at a time of Borax (around 3 to 4 - 1/2 tsp.) until no more will dissolve in the water.
Pour the Borax water into your glue mixture and stir well. It will immediately start to come together.
Continue stirring until you have a blob in the center with some liquid around it. EWWWW look how gooey it looks! Chloe said that it looked no good. :-/ haha
Carefully lift out the blob onto a covered surface or a large flat dish. Chloe wasn't sure what we were making.
It will be slimy and wet but that is just how it should be.

Squish it in your hands until it solidifies more and holds its shape.
Chloe was so amazed as she was squishing it.
There you have it, your own pet goo!
Now it's time to play! There are many ways to stretch and play with your new pet goo! If you hold one end up it will stretch it's way down
If you pull it apart fast it will break in two but then you can just push the two pieces back together again.

You can flatten it out, poke holes in it and they will stay indented for a little while. Plus so much more!

Chloe had so much fun with this and still is. The next morning she was asking to play with it again. This was a fun and easy craft to make with her.
What better way to spend some time with you children and it wont cost you a bunch of money to do it!!
When you are done playing with your pet goo you can keep it in a sealed container or plastic baggy. It will last around 2 months.
Make sure to wash your hands after playing with your pet goo.
*Supervision is recommended while making and playing with pet goo.*
