Santa Hand Print Ornament

Santa Hand Print Ornament

Chloe's Aunt Cindy and Grandma Paula posted this recipe on her mommy's facebook and her mommy couldn't wait to make it!!! So lets see how it went, fingers crossed......

Here is what you will need: 1/2 cup salt, 1/2 cup flour and 1/4 cup water

Pour in salt. Chloe thought we were going to make cookies at first haha those would be some yucky cookies!

Now add in the flour, good work Chloe.

Now time to add in the water and knead until dough forms. Chloe is also helping mommy make some salt dough for her brother to have a hand print done as well.

Here it is all ready to go. Chloe just loved playing with it. She shaped it into a circle the size of her hand.
Now we make an impression and cut out with a dull knife leaving an edge. Using a straw poke a hole at the top for hanging. Bake at 200f. for 3 hrs. or longer till dry.

Mommy forgot to take a picture before baking and painting them oopsie! Paint with a white sealing paint. From here on mommy finished them so we could keep them for a long time.
They are now ready to turn into a santa! Hey wait there is a foot! Mommy had extra and made a cast of Williams foot.

OMG they are so cute Chloe yelled out when she saw them. Mommy thinks they turned out pretty darn good as well.
Thank you Aunt Cindy and Grandma Paula for posting this for my mommy to make with me. Hugs and kisses to you both.
